Smile

Today, May 8 2025, on my way home from a therapy session I came across a homeless man with a small sign that just said “smile”. Where I live it’s sadly all too common to see people on busy street medians holding signs asking for money, and pleading their hardship cases. But this, this was different. 
He stood there holding the sweet reminder stoically above his head, and it instantaneously made me smile. It inspired me to ask for nothing while passing a smile along.
